Two Virginia University Athletic Members in Tragic Balloon Accident

It took until mid-morning yesterday to find the body of the third person in the hot air balloon that caught on fire and crashed in Caroline Friday.
It was part of a run before more than 700 people, at the start of the Mid-Atlantic Balloon Festival at the Meadow Event Park. A 20 year veteran pilot from Delaware, Daniel T. Kirk, was the Delaware pilot. It reportedly hit a live power line, caught fire and the basket separated from the balloon. It crashed near Caroline's Meadow Event Park Friday had decades of flying experience.
A college basketball coach was also aboard. During her senior year at the University of Richmond, Ginny Dolye set the NCAA women's record with 66 consecutive free throws. Director of its' Basketball Operations Natalie Lewis also died.
The final body was recovered Sunday, but the well liked athletic's members were memorialized at the University's graduation, over the weekend.
