Two Years Later: Louisa Recovers

by Frank Hammon posted Aug 23 2013 11:30AM
It's been two year's since the 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck Louisa County and residents there still experience some after shocks.
The major damage from initial quake has been repaired for the most part, but the aftershocks have caused some cracks to appear in walls and floors of local homes and businesses.
Ground breaking was held Wednesday for a new Louisa High School expected to be complete in two years.
A new Thomas Jefferson Elementary School is scheduled to open next year.
Both schools were severly damaged by the quake.
