UMW Students Collect Shoe Boxes to Help Needy Kids

Students at the University of Mary Washington are among the groups offering a chance to help the needy, again this holiday season.
Christina Eggenberger with the Office of Community Outreach and Resources says that people have until 5:00 p.m. this Friday to bring a donation to their office in Seacobeck hall.
They are looking for wrapped shoe boxes for needy young children in the community. Wrap the top and bottom separately. Each one needs a hat and gloves, a toothbrush and toothpaste and a toy or two for a boy or girl. They will be given to head start kids between the ages of three and five in Fredericksburg and the surrounding areas.
