UPDATE: If you are in and around the Dale Boulevard McDonalds in Prince William County, you were on edge this time yesterday, after a shooting at a nearby McDonald's Monday night. Today you can rest easier. Police arrested Woodbridge resident and suspect DeWayne Williams in Montclair and Stafford County accomplice Jamie Lea Bowyer turned herself in. The manhunt went on until last night.
Residents near Neabsco Mills Road in Prince William were asked to be careful this morning, as a police search wrapped up for a shooting suspect.
The man's accused of shooting the victim in the parking lot of the McDonalds on Dale Boulevard last night after an argument. The man was flown to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect sped away and abandoned the car near Freedom High School. He ran away on foot and then allegedly hijacked another car at Neabsco Mills Road and Dale Boulevard. That victim says he was flagged down by the suspect and got into the passenger seat. After he drove him away, to Route 1 and Delaware Drive, Dwayne Williams got out and ran off again.
Officers set up a perimeter and used K-9s, going door to door until just after 3:00 a.m. He still has not been found and police have several addresses where he was known to stay, but a warrant is issued for his arrest.
