VRE Thanks Fredericksburg and Manassas Line Riders for Patience

Virginia Railway Express officials are thanking riders of the Fredericksburg and Manassas lines for their patience Tuesday afternoon.
Some were forced to wait for another train and others had to stand for much of the trip, after a suspicious package was located near VRE's L'Enfant station.
The Metropolitan Police Department advised CSX that rail traffic needed to be held during some of their investigation, over safety concerns. Train traffic returned to normal after just over an hour, but by then the damage was done. A few of the trains passed by normal stops to allow the trains to move more quickly on the tracks and to try and minimize overcrowding.
