Virginia offensive coordinator Bill Lazor is leaving  the Cavaliers to take an NFL job.

The university announced Lazor's departure Tuesday. A person familiar with the situation says Lazor will join Chip Kelly's new Philadelphia Eagles staff. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because no announcement has been made by the Eagles.

Lazor's departure was first reported by CBSSports.com.

He is the fifth assistant to leave the Cavaliers' staff this offseason. Four coaches were fired Dec. 2 after Virginia finished 4-8.

Lazor, who came to Virginia in 2010, has been a quarterbacks coach with the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins. He also worked for the Atlanta Falcons, and interviewed after the 2011 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
