JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Tennessee have charged three adults with shooting at a 13-year-old and taking an Xbox video game console from him.
A Jackson police news release said one of those charged, 22-year-old Rasheka Sampson, had reported her Xbox stolen during a burglary last week and then confronted a teenager she saw walking down the street with game equipment Wednesday.
Authorities said Sampson's boyfriend, 21-year-old Skylar Reeves, took the Xbox and then fired at but missed the youth, Isaiah Jones. Police said the Xbox serial code proved it wasn't Sampson's but they haven't yet determined who owns it.
Aggravated robbery and theft charges were filed against Sampson, 25-year-old Marilyn Horne and Reeves, who is also charged with aggravated assault. They remained in jail Thursday, and jail records didn't indicate if they had attorneys.

A Virginia woman bought the painting for at a West Virginia flea market. She took it to the Potomack Co. auction house in Alexandria, Va. The auction had been set for Saturday.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - A rare sea turtle that a Florida fisherman wanted to cook and eat has been released back into the wild.
Officials at The Florida Aquarium say the fisherman snagged the Kemp's ridley sea turtle in May. Instead of releasing it, he put the 15-pound juvenile turtle in a tank in his backyard in Tampa.
Aquarium official Susan Coy tells The Tampa Tribune (http://bit.ly/RyCkRB) that the fisherman planned to cook and eat the endangered species, but a neighbor reported him to authorities.
It's not unheard of for turtle meat to be used in dishes such as soups.
Gary Morse, a spokesman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, says the fisherman told investigators he didn't know the turtle was endangered.
The turtle named "Lucky" was rehabilitated at the aquarium until Wednesday, when it was released.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - A Virginia Beach toddler left sleeping in an SUV took an unexpected trip when the vehicle was towed to Norfolk.
Police tell media outlets that the mother parked the SUV outside the family's home Wednesday and went inside the residence to get something. The SUV and her 21-month-old son were gone when she returned.
The mother thought the vehicle had been stolen and called police.
But police say a driver with Aristocrat Towing in Norfolk towed the SUV away because it was parked in a fire lane.
The driver couldn't see the boy inside because the vehicle has dark-tinted windows. The boy wasn't injured.

Scorpion Sting Costs More than $80,000

PHOENIX (AP) - An Arizona woman is wondering what hurt more: getting stung by a scorpion or seeing her hospital bill after treatment.
Marcie Edmonds says the bill from Chandler Regional Medical Center was more than $83,000. That includes two doses of anti-venom at nearly $40,000 per dose.
The Arizona Republic (http://bit.ly/RD6bX8) says Edmonds' insurer has paid more than $57,000 and the suburban Phoenix hospital is asking Edmonds for the balance of about $25,000.
The 52-year-old Ahwatukee (ah-wha-TU'-kee) Foothills resident was stung in June while opening a box of air conditioner filters in her garage.
Edmonds says an emergency room doctor told her about the Mexican anti-venom Anascorp that could quickly relieve her symptoms, but she was never told about the cost.
Chandler Regional says Edmonds' bill represents the out-of-network costs for her treatment.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A kitten that hitched a six-hour ride from Connecticut to western New York curled up on top of a car's gas tank will be put up for adoption.
The cat was found by workers at Smitty's Transmissions in suburban Rochester when a Connecticut couple bought in their car after dropping their son off at the Rochester Institute of Technology. The couple had heard the cat purring.
The Democrat & Chronicle of Rochester reports Sunday that workers found the kitten curled in a tiny alcove above the gas tank. They named the cat Connecticut.
The kitten was taken to Lollypop Farm, a shelter that takes in foster kittens, until she puts on enough weight to be spayed and adopted.
Shelter workers believe the hitching kitten was feral.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A wandering deer found himself in hot water after stepping on a pool cover and making a big splash in the backyard of a Colorado home.
Homeowner Scott Smith says he found the buck in his ground-level pool Sunday morning trying to wrestle his way out of the pool cover. Smith says he had no idea when the deer wandered onto the patio in the backyard of his Colorado Springs home.
KOAA-TV reports that firefighters built a ramp to help the animal out. Photos show the buck was coaxed out of the pool with rope to guide his way up the ramp.
The deer ran off as soon as he got out of the water, some four hours after he was discovered in the pool.
