You may or may not be surprised to hear that people are more attractive when they're in a group.
The phenomenon - first dubbed the "cheerleader effect" on the popular TV show How I Met Your Mother. Now psychologists say it's true. When we look at people in groups in person or in pictures, we tend to average out their features. That's why a guy that sees a woman in a bar with her friends might in their head go from a 7 to and 8.

McDonald's plans to expand a test this year that lets people order customized burgers.
The "build-your-own burger" concept started at one of its' California stores last year letting folks tap out the bun, patty, cheese and toppings they want on a tablet.
It's not the first chain to use the concept though, Burger King started with it with the catchy "Have it Your Way" jingle...(Hold the pickles, hold the lettuce, special orders won't upset us, all we ask is that you let us serve it your way. Have it your way....Have it your way at Burger King.) For those of us that do remember it, those ads started in the 70s.

At least one phone maker will bring you the chance to take clearer and sharper selfies this year.
Samsung has added smarter camera software in its Galaxy S5 smartphone that's due to release in April. The tweaks mean pics will be closer in quality to images captured by digital cameras. The global wireless show that wraps up in Barcelona today is also showcasing companies making editing on your phone even easier.

Here is something to think about the next time your pooch leaves an unwelcome "souvenir" on your carpet or chews something up.
When you scold them and they get that hangdog look - they aren't really feeling sorry about what they did.Dog experts say the animal - like some humans - simply have no shame. The look of shame is likely a reaction to the way their owners are acting instead.

It sounds likes a scene from one of the "Mission: Impossible" movies. An escape from a high-rise Chicago jail.
Now, a bank robber is getting three and a-half years tacked on to his sentence. Kenneth Conley pleaded guilty to a felony escape charge. Authorities say he and a cellmate used a rope made from sheets and dental floss to descend 17 stories. Both men weren't free for long, as they were soon caught. At his sentencing yesterday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports Conley told the judge to "stick it." The additional time is being added to 20 years Conley is already serving for robbery.

The way you eat breakfast on the go is about to change next month. Egg McMuffin, meet the Waffle Taco. Taco Bell is readying for the launch of its national breakfast menu on March 27th. It'll also include items like the A.M. Crunchwrap and the chain says breakfast will be available until 11 a.m., a half-hour longer than McDonald's offers its Egg McMuffins.

Match.com has done a Singles in America survey to find out what's really going on in the dating world
. It surveyed more than 5,000 single people, ages 21 to 71 and it looks like men are a little more open minded these days. More than 90% of them say it's okay for a woman to ask a man out. More than 70% of single women think it's okay to date more than one person at a time. But there is hope...more than 89% of the men and women think it is possible to stay married to the same person forever.

If you're ticked off at you husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend, kids, friends or even a coworker, you'd better talk about it.
Harvard medical researchers say folks who express their emotions are 70% less likely to die prematurely of cancerand 47% less likely to have a heart attack. Bottling up emotions can damage cells, but getting it out boosts blood flow to the part of the brain responsible for positive emotions.

I'm not sure if you have seen the show "Naked and Afraid?" Maybe you thought it was silly or maybe you got hooked. Now VH1 is hoping a similar show with a twist will draw you in. The new reality show will explore whether or not clothes are necessary when searching for love...it's called "Naked Dating." VH1 says each episode will feature a man and a woman as they each date two different, people...naked. No word when the 10 episode series will air.

There's some proof that there's a reason you might head out to the store to buy that cologne ad you saw an ad for and then smelled in a fashion magazine.
Researchers put cotton balls in some people's mouths and then showed them an ad that asked if they wanted some chocolate cake. Then there was the ad with that question and a picture of one and finally a sachet that had the cake's smell. There was more saliva on the cotton of the folks that actually caught the smell.

Are you going on a day trip this weekend or maybe out for a romantic evening?
If you are, evening though it's tempting to capture sweet moments or something cool you see, but the phone or camera down. If you take a picture to remember something by, you'll be able to see it later, but might not remember the moment. The phenomenon's been known as "photo-taking impairment effect."

If you need reminders to tell the people you love that you love them, you're probably too busy-but the truth is, we're all busy and can use a little help showing affection.
That's where Romantimatic comes in. The app will set you back two bucks in the iTunes App Store, and sets reminders to help you remember to send the people you love a quick message to let them know you care. You key in the info and when the reminder comes, you get the option to call or message them.

Here's a unique way to shoplift, but I'm not sure who'd want to eat the goods later.
Police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, say a 54 year old man was caught shoplifting nearly 100 bucks worth of ribs from a Piggly Wiggly supermarket. Concerned citizens chased him out and pinned him down. When the cops got there, they found packs of the meat on the ground, and four more stuffed in the man's pants.

It proves that you don't have to steal stuff work alot of money to get in trouble with the law. A Spotsylvania woman is in jail on multiple charges after being accused of stealing from Walmart in Stafford, some of the things valued at less than seven bucks.
She also gave the officer a fake name and other information, didn't have a current driver's license and had tags that expired more than a decade ago. Oh, and she also didn't go to court for a drug charge in Spotsy last month.
