Went the Day Well following Animal Kingdom's run

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Barry Irwin says he lost his anonymity after Animal Kingdom won last year's Kentucky Derby for his syndicate, Team Valor International.

Trainer Graham Motion doesn't have quite the same level of recognition, but he certainly isn't flying under the radar.

The pair and jockey John Velazquez are back at Churchill Downs for Saturday's race with Went the Day Well, a precocious bay colt who is staying in the same stall, following the same routine and will likely post similar odds as Animal Kingdom did.

While jockey Calvin Borel most recently won two straight races in 2009-10 and trainer Bob Baffert did it in 1997-98, no combination of jockey-trainer-owner has won two in a row since 1972-73, when Ron Turcotte, Lucien Laurin and Meadow Farm pulled it off with Riva Ridge and Secretariat.
