Authorities again are reminding people not to leave their pets locked in a car.
Two women who work for a North Carolina animal rescue group are charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty following an incident Sunday night at a local hotel.
Fredericksburg police report they received a complaint that four puppies were in a van with no food or water in their crates.
The women were located in their hotel rooms and forced to move the puppies there after being served with summonses.
The women had already paid the additional fee allowing them to have animals in the room according to police.
