Frank Hammon
Frank started his broadcasting career more than 30 years ago in his hometown, Syracuse, NY. Nearly 20 of those years have been in Fredericksburg at WFLS-FM where he is the morning news anchor and news director. Prior to that Frank has worked at stations in Syracuse and Greensboro, NC. He’s also covered college and professional sports for a radio network synonymous with the first three letters of the alphabet. Currently he’s striving to grow grass (again) in his yard as he deals with a mole problem. Frank and his wife live in Caroline County and have three sons and recently became proud grandparents.

Niche Herman
It's long walks on the beach, Girls' Club, 'Seinfeld' and exercising that keeps Niche Herman busy when she's not covering the Fredericksburg city beat or doing the morning news on 99.3, the Vibe, and Classic Rock 96.9. In the 5 years Niche has been with the news team, she's mingled with listeners, celebrities Tom Hanks and George Clooney and even President Bush. But her favorite type of news is that of the bizarre. Niche recently became 'left-handed' when she got engaged to the greatest guy in the universe, Thom! The cute couple spends Sundays during football season cheering for the Steelers with the Fredericksburg Black and Gold Club.

Bill Dubensky
Bill is a reporter and anchor who got his start in 1984 at a station in his hometown of Punxsutawney, PA. (Yes he knows the groundhog personally.) Bill is a graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania and his career has taken him to stations in Pennsylvania and upstate New York. Before joining the team at WFLS Bill was a political reporter and anchor for the Empire Radio Network in Albany, NY, where he roamed the halls of the state capitol covering the governor and the state legislature. Bill lives in Fredericksburg and loves to run, walk and is on a never ending mission to try and make an authentic Brooklyn style pizza at home in an electric oven.

Deirdre Blake
Deirdre is the homegrown girl on the news staff, born and raised in Spotsylvania County. Her family constantly listened to WFLS and she would always joke with friends that she was country when country wasn't cool. She loves Barbara Mandrell, Conway Twitty and still dreams of a shot at the Grand Ole Opry. Deirdre is also known to karaoke a mean Patsy Cline--maybe you'll catch a glimpse around town. Most of her professional career has been in business, public relations and banking. But in 2000 she stumbled into radio news with WFLS through an on-line crossword puzzle. (She claims to be a bit of a geek!) Through another interesting circumstance she went on to become the Virginia State Correspondent in national radio news for Metro Network's 1700 stations. But now she’s back at home. Deirdre still has a recording of herself, on tape, at the age of 7, filing a report "live from the office of Walter Cronkite." It must mean her passion for news started at an early age. Deirdre also loves reading, dancing, singing and adores her hometown.
