Location: S/B RT 301 at Vernon Road, Waldorf, Charles County, MD.
Summary: Tpr. Kenge responded to a two vehicle motor vehicle collision involving a fuel tanker and a passenger vehicle. The driver of the passenger vehicle Aaron Michael Butler 21 year old failed to pay full time and attention, which caused his vehicle to strike the rear of the fuel tanker driver by George Nathanial Dorsey Sr.61 year old. The passenger vehicle went underneath the fuel tanker. Maryland Department of the Environment Hazmat Unit responded to the scene. They stated that the tanker is not leaking and that the passenger vehicle can be removed from underneath the fuel tanker without further damaging the tanker. The passenger vehicle was removed from the scene by Altra Towing. The fuel tanker was removed to a vacant parking lot to have the two rear tires change. The tanker was inspected by the Maryland State Police Commercial Motor Vehicle Division and found to be safe to drive. The driver of the fuel tanker was not injured and the driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to Civista Hospital with minor injuries. The roadway of northbound and southbound of route 301 were closed for approximately 2 ½ hours.
On March 26, 201, at approximately 10:30pm, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting call in the 5300 block of Cedar Ridge Drive. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that an unknown subject had fired several shots from a small caliber firearm into an occupied residence and then fled the scene. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division responded and processed the scene, recovering numerous spent shells and bullets, along with other items of evidentiary value.
During the ongoing investigation, it was determined that the family currently living in the residence was mistakenly targeted and that the shooting most likely stemmed from an altercation with another person who had recently moved from the neighboring residence. The victims in the residence where the shooting occurred were shaken, however no one was injured.
The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is actively following up on several leads; however, the suspect involved in the incident has not yet been positively identified. The Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public regarding the identity of the subject involved in this shooting. ?Aggravated Sexual Battery *ARREST – On March 28th, the accused was arrested in connection to a sexual assault which was reported to police on March 22nd. Aggravated Sexual Battery (Previously Released) – On March 22nd, detectives from the Special Victim’s Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 3500 block of Beale Ct in Woodbridge (22193) between January 2012 and February 2013. The investigation revealed that the accused had sexually assaulted the victim, a 6 year old girl, on two separate occasions during the time frame above. Detectives further learned that the accused had also attempted to sexually assault another victim, a 9 year old girl, during the same time period. The accused is known to the victims and was residing at their residence at the time of the offenses. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
Armed Robbery – On March 27th at 11:24PM, police responded to the area of Bronco Way in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery. The victim, a 54 year old man of Alexandria, reported to police that he was a cab driver and had driven his passenger, an unknown man, to the area above. Once there, the man displayed a handgun and demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported. Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On March 27th at 2:00PM, police responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 2900 block of Wythe Ct in Woodbridge (22191) on March 21st. The victim, a 27 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that on that date she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. Residential Burglary – On March 27th at 3:30PM, police responded to the 3800 block of Derby Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 1:00PM on March 26th and 6:00AM on March 27th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear sliding glass door. Two laptops and a gaming console, valued around $4,500, were reported missing. **ARRESTS**
Rape – On March 27th, detectives from the Special Victim’s Unit responded to investigate a rape which was reported to have occurred in the 14500 block of El Rio Ct in Woodbridge (22193). The investigation revealed that the victim, currently a 15 year old girl of Woodbridge, was raped by the accused, a known acquaintance, on two occasions between June of 2011 and January 2013. Abduction | Assault & Battery – On March 27th at 2:23PM, police responded to the 1200 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) for an assault. The victim, a 20 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and forced her into a back bedroom against her will. Officers arrived at the residence and could hear the victim screaming for help. The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in providing information about a rape and abduction which was reported to have occurred in the Manassas area of Prince William County.
On March 28th at 11:15PM, police responded to the area of Maplewood Dr and Peakwood Ct in Manassas (20111) for a rape. The victim, a 31 year old woman of Herndon, reported to police that she was walking to a residence of a known acquaintance in the above area when she was approached by an unknown man. The man displayed a handgun and forced the victim into a wooded area nearby where he then raped her. Following the encounter, the man fled the area on foot. The victim was transported to an area hospital. A police K-9 and helicopter were used in the search for the suspect. Lookout:

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On March 26th at 10:13PM, police responded to the 4400 block of Whitmer Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for a shots fired call. Homeowner reported to police that he and other occupants of the residence where inside the home when they heard several gunshots. The homeowner then observed the outer pane on the sliding glass door was shattered by a suspected bullet. The inner pane was intact and no round penetrated into the residence. Officers further discovered a window on an unoccupied vehicle parked in the parking lot had also been shattered. No injuries or other property damage was reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the potential shooter(s).
Residential Burglary – On March 26th at 9:55PM, police responded to the 8100 block of Tenbrook Dr in Gainesville (20155) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that she was in her bedroom when an unknown person entered. Upon being confronted by the homeowner, the unknown person fled the residence. It appeared the suspect cut a screen on a rear door and broke out a glass pane to access the locking mechanism. No property was reported missing. The homeowner never saw the suspect and was unable to provide a description. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. Investigation continues.
Residential Burglary – On March 26th at 10:16PM, police responded to the 14000 block of Sterling Point in Gainesville (20155) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:15PM and 10:00PM. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window which had been broken out. A bottle of liquor was reported missing. This incident is possible related to the burglary above.
MAN ARRESTED AFTER ATTEMPTING TO STEAL MONEY FROM GIRL SCOUTS: On March 23 at 6 p.m., officers responded to the 3200 block of Plaza Way for the report of a theft in progress. Investigation revealed a man and a woman approached a group of Girl Scouts who were selling cookies in front of a store. The female suspect suddenly pushed the cookies off of the display table and the male suspect reached for a money envelope. The scouts’ den mother grabbed the envelope but the male suspect pushed her and attempted to steal it. Both suspects fled without the money. As officers were responding, the father of one of the scouts – who is a federal police officer - was contacted; he was nearby and responded to the scene. He located the male suspect about 200 yards away and tried to detain the man but the suspect resisted. Officer J. Morales arrived and helped secure the suspect. James Ernest Wright, 48, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with attempted robbery, theft, and disorderly conduct. Officers are working to identify the female suspect. No one was injured during the incident.
THEFT: Between March 23 - March 24, unknown suspect(s) stole four rims and wheels from a Chevrolet Blazer parked in the Community Services parking lot in the 8100 block of Port Tobacco Road in Port Tobacco. Officer C. Figgins is investigating.
DUI CHECK POINT RESULTS: On March 22 between 9 p.m. – 1 a.m., officers conducted a DUI checkpoint on Smallwood Drive near Stone Avenue in Waldorf. Three people were found to be driving under the influence and were arrested. Officers assigned to traffic operations, patrol, special operations and judicial services took part in the operation.
ROBBERY: On March 22 at 9:10 p.m., a 17-year-old male was walking in the area of Pep Rally Lane in Waldorf when he was approached by two males who were armed with a handgun. One suspect hit the victim and the other stole his cell phone. Both suspects fled. Officers canvassed the area and a police K-9 conducted a track. The suspects are described as black males in their early twenties. One suspect was wearing tan pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and tan boots and the other suspect was wearing tan pants, a camouflage jacket and tan boots. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: On March 22 at 9:45 p.m., officers responded to a bank in the 11100 block of Mall Circle in Waldorf for the report of an attempted robbery. The victim, an employee at a nearby store, was making a night deposit when he was approached by a lone male who displayed a gun and demanded the money bag. The victim had already deposited the bag and the suspect fled. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating.
BURGLARY: On March 22 between 9:10 a.m. – 4:50 p.m. unknown suspect(s) entered the back yard of a house in the 3900 block of Northgate Place in Waldorf and kicked open a back door. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole electronics, games, movies and money. Officers processed the scene and canvassed the area for witnesses. Officer A. Fenlon is investigating.

Strong Armed Robbery | Grand Larceny Auto– On March 25th at 9:03PM, police responded to the 13700 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. The victim, a 36 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was standing outside of a business in the above area when he observed 3 unknown individuals, 2 males and 1 female, walking towards his direction. As the group approached, one of the individuals struck the victim in the face. Following the assault, the group got into the victim’s nearby running vehicle and fled the area. Possible Attempted Abduction – On March 23rd at 6:45PM, police responded to the 3600 block of Masthead Tr in Dumfries (22026) for a possible attempted abduction. The victim, an 8 year old boy of Dumfries, reported to police that he was walking home when he was approached by an unknown man. The man allegedly grabbed the victim and carried him to the other side of the street where he then let the victim go. Following the encounter, the victim ran home where police were called. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. An extensive canvass was also completed by officers and detectives. When the victim arrived, the man did not have the property. The victim then attempted to leave, at which point, a second unknown man approached the victim and displayed a handgun. Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery | Prevent Call to 9-1-1 – On March 22nd at 1:19PM, police responded to the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026) for a domestic. The victim, a 22 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During encounter, the accused assaulted the victim multiple times. The victim attempted to use her cell phone to call 9-1-1, at which point, the accused grabbed the phone and further prevented her from leaving the residence. The victim was able to eventually get her phone and all police. The accused fled the residence with the victim’s laptop, $1,500, prior to police arrival. The victim sustained minor injuries. Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On March 22nd at 10:48PM, police responded to the 14800 block of Daley Ln in Woodbridge (22193) for a fight call. Caller reported to police that several men were on the front yard of a residence in the above area when one of the men brandished a handgun and fired a round into the air. All parties then got into a vehicle and left the area. In the process of leaving, another male fired a second round into the air. No injuries or property damage were reported. No descriptions of those involved were provided to police.
Commercial Burglary – On March 23rd at 8:00AM, police responded to C.L. Sours Jr General Dentistry located at 12606 Lake Ridge Dr #A in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 1:00PM on March 22nd and 7:56AM on March 23rd. Entry appeared to have been made through a glass door which had been broken out. No property was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On March 22nd at 4:41PM, police responded to the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 10:30PM on March 21st and 1:30PM on March 22nd, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a rear patio door which had been damaged. No entry is believed to have been made and no property was reported missing.

Felony Child Neglect – On March 24th, detectives from the Physical Abuse Unit responded to investigate a child neglect call which was reported to have occurred in the 16000 block of Crest Dr in Woodbridge (22191). Caller reported to police that she was asked by the accused to watch her four children, ages 10, 7, and 6 (twins), on Friday, March 22nd. When the caller arrived at the residence, the accused was already gone and the children were unsupervised. On March 24th, the accused had not returned to the residence and police were contacted. The accused returned later that evening on March 24th. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The children were not injured, however the conditions of the home were unfit. The investigation revealed that the accused had assaulted two students, a 13 year old girl and a 12 year old boy. School staff immediately reported the incident to Child Protective Services which prompted the police investigation. The injuries to the victims were minor. Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer – On March 23rd at 12:48AM, police responded to the 3000 block of Frankfurt Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a disorderly subject. Caller reported to police that an unknown man was intoxicated and becoming irate towards her while she was outside in the above area. Officers responded and identified the man as the accused. The accused was requested to return to his residence by officers. The accused repeatedly ignored officers and became increasingly disorderly. Officers attempted to arrest the accused, at which point, he actively resisted and bit one of the officers on his hand. Officers were eventually able to detain the accused. On March 22nd at 12:32AM, police responded to the 4100 block of Merchant Plz in Woodbridge (22192) for an assault resulting from a fight. The victim, a 26 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and his brother were at a restaurant in the above area when they encountered a few individuals, some of who were known to the victim. The victim and his brother left the establishment and were in the parking lot when the same individuals approached them. A verbal altercation escalated physically and, at one point, one of the men struck the victim to the face with a glass bottle. The fight was eventually broken up prior to police arrival. Officers identified the man who struck the victim with the bottle as the accused. The altercation appeared to have stemmed from a previous encounter. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident. Residential Burglary | Manufacturing an Explosive Device – On March 21st at 9:38AM, police responded to the 11700 block of Crest Maple Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that she was inside her residence when she heard loud noises coming from a lower floor of the home. Upon checking out the noise, she observed two unknown males, believed to be juveniles, attempting to break into the residence. Once confronted by the homeowner, the males fled on foot. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing. Officers arrived in the area quickly and established a perimeter around the neighborhood. After a short time, officers located and detained two males who were determined to have been the males involved in the incident. Officers searched a backpack of one of the suspects and located several tools used to break into homes. Officers also located a plastic water bottle filled with an unknown substance. The property was brought back to the Eastern District Police Station in Woodbridge where the bottle was determined to be filled with a liquid believed to be gasoline and other material(s) intended to be used as an incendiary device. The Prince William County Fire Marshal’s Office, Hazmat crews, and the Virginia State Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit were called to assist in rendering the bottle safe. During the investigation, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit learned that the two males had broken into a second residence in the 4100 block of Burning Ridge Ct after fleeing from the initial residence. The suspects broke out a rear window and made entry into the unoccupied residence. The males then fled the residence after hearing police responding to the area. No property was taken from that residence. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested. Searches of both suspect residences were also conducted. No other explosive devices were located. BURGLARY REPORTED: On March 19 between 5:30 a.m. – 5:20 p.m., unknown suspect(s) forced open a back door of a house on Blackpool Circle in Waldorf and stole money and electronics. BURGLARY: On March 19 at 10:14 a.m., an unknown male rang the doorbell of a house in the 2500 block of Snow Hill Court in Waldorf and asked for "Daniel". The homeowner told the man that no one by that name lived there and the man left. Feeling the suspect was acting suspicious, the homeowner continued to watch the man and noticed he went to a neighbor’s house where he rang the doorbell for about two minutes. The witness then watched the suspect go to the back of the neighbor’s house where he heard a loud bang - similar to the sound of a door being kicked in. The witness went outside to the rear of the neighbor’s house and saw that the back door was indeed kicked in. At that point, the witness called police but the suspect ran from the house, jumped a fence and fled. A police K-9 team responded and attempted to do a track. The area was canvassed with negative results. The suspect is described as a black male, clean cut, about 5'10", with a noticeable gap in his front teeth. He was wearing black Nike shoes with green soles and a gray hooded sweatshirt or jacket with green accents. Summary: On the above date and time, Tfc. McCombs observed a 2011 Mini Cooper Bearing VA registration traveling over the above the posted speed limit. Tfc. McCombs stopped the vehicle. The driver was identified by his Virginia Driver’ License as Arthur Joseph Delaney III of Colonial Beach, VA. Tpr. Davis responded to the scene to assist Tfc. McCombs. A K-9 scan was conducted on Delaney’s vehicle. A positive alerted was given by the K-9 for the presence of illegal drugs. Tfc. McCombs observed a substance that appeared to be suspected Heroin on the driver’s floor board. During the search of Delaney’s person a used hypodermic needle was found in his right sweat shirt pocket and three more hypodermic needles were found in a duffle bag in his vehicle on the backseat. Delaney had three open warrants two through MSP La Plata Barrack and one through the Charles County Sheriff’s Office. Delaney was placed under arrest and charged accordingly. Delaney was transported to the Charles County Detention Center to be seen by a court commissioner.
Narcotics Investigation – On February 27th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of cocaine with the execution of a search warrant at 1801 Clarinet Ct #301 in Woodbridge (22191). Attempted Residential Burglary – On March 18th at 2:05PM, police responded to the 6900 block of Stanwick Sq in Gainesville (20155) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that he observed an unknown man removing the screen on a rear window. The homeowner confronted the suspect who then fled on foot. No injuries were reported and no entry was made into the residence. The homeowner was able to record part of the incident on a cell phone. A police K-9 was utilized in the search for the suspect. Armed Robbery – On March 17th at 12:11AM, police responded to the Seven Market located at 1551 Featherstone Rd in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. Two employees reported to police that two masked men approached them as they were closing the store for the night. Both men displayed handguns and forced the employees back into the store. One of employees, a 40 year old man of Alexandria, was assaulted by one of the men after he couldn’t open a safe. Both men took several cartons of cigarettes, valued around $3,600, before fleeing the area. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was utilized in the search for the suspects. Lookout:

The man demanded money from the victim and, at one point, displayed a handgun. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and the delivery before fleeing into the woods. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. An iPod and other property, valued around $250, were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On March 17th at 12:37PM, police responded to the 18400 block of Kerill Rd in Triangle (22172) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:20AM on March 15th and 12:25PM on March 17th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A painting, valued around $2,000, was reported missing.
Commercial Burglary – On March 16th at 11:15AM, police responded to Shanghai Café located at 12760 Darby Brooke Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30PM on March 15th and 11:00AM on March 16th. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear door which had been damaged. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On March 14th at 5:28PM, police responded to the 14300 block of Shetland Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:20AM and 5:15PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Two gaming consoles, a computer monitor, several pairs of sneakers, and other property, valued around $2,200, were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On March 14th at 3:32PM, police responded to the 3300 block of Canton Ct in Dumfries (22025) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:30AM and 3:15PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. A laptop, valued around $1,000, was reported missing.

Abduction | Grand Larceny | Felony Eluding – On March 16th at 11:06PM, police responded to the 9900 block of Sowder Village Sq in Manassas (20109) for a domestic. The victim, an 18 year old woman of Midland, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation in the parking lot of the Target which escalated. During the encounter, the accused became agitated and victim locked herself in her vehicle and called 9-1-1. At that point, the accused broke out the driver’s side window and pulled the victim from the vehicle. The accused took the victim’s phone and disconnected with 9-1-1 before he forced her into his own vehicle. A struggled ensued in the vehicle and the victim was able to remove the keys from the ignition and run from the vehicle. The accused then exited his vehicle and got into the victim’s vehicle to chase after her. At that point, officers were arriving at the location. The vehicle initially failed to stop for the officers and almost struck a police cruiser. Officers followed the vehicle in the parking lot until the accused stopped and was taken into custody. Minor injuries were reported. Arrested on March 18th:

Felony Child Neglect – On March 15th at 10:28AM, police responded to investigate a child neglect which was reported to have occurred in the 8300 block of Irongate Way in Manassas (20109). The caller located two children, a 3 year old girl and 5 year old boy, walking the area above unsupervised. The caller took the children to nearby Westgate Elementary School where police were notified. Officers located the accused, the children’s mother, walking in the same area about 45 minutes after police were notified. The investigation revealed that the accused had left the children in a locked room of the residence while she was gone for about 2 hours. The children were not injured. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. Arrested in March 15th:

Burglary | Assault & Battery – On March 17th at 3:18PM, police responded to the 12600 block of Harbor Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for an assault. The victim, a 24 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation in front of his residence. Following the encounter, the victim walked back into his house, at which point, the accused followed and entered without permission. Once inside, the altercation continued and the accused assaulted the victim. Minor injuries were reported. Officers arrived at the residence and arrested the accused without further incident. WOMAN CHARGED WITH THEFT: On March 16 at 5:33 p.m., officers responded to a store in the 11900 block of Acton Lane in Waldorf after receiving information about a possible theft in progress. A woman had taken several electronics and other items into the store’s bathroom and did not come back out. After waiting a length of time, loss prevention personnel and officers went inside the restroom and immediately saw a large amount of blood on the floor. They also observed three empty packages that had contained GPS units. The woman exited a stall and officers noticed she had multiple cuts to her hand. Officers looked in the stall and observed several discarded electronics packaging. A search of the woman’s shopping bags revealed two large knives which she apparently used to cut open the packages of the electronics. Officers also discovered a total of five GPS units, a DVD player, a wallet, a handbag, and jewelry. The woman initially gave officers a false name but her true identity was found in her purse. A computer check revealed she had three open warrants. Kelly Ann Chambers, 42, of Waldorf, was arrested and charged with theft and identity theft to avoid prosecution.
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: On March 16 at 12:38 p.m., the victim’s were traveling north on Mattawoman Beantown Road near Poplar Hill Road in Waldorf when an unknown male driving a red Honda Accord pulled up alongside them. The driver of the Honda quickly reached down and then a loud “pop” was heard. The children in the victim’s car (ages 2, 4, and 6) began crying and when their father looked back he noticed the rear vent window was broken. He pulled over and noticed a small hole in the window. The driver called police and upon further examination, officers found a small airsoft pellet inside the car. No one was injured. The driver of the Honda was described as a white male, possibly in his 30’s. There have been no other similar incidents reported. PFC J. Foster is investigating.
FRAUD/THEFT SCHEME: On March 13, a 64-year-old Charles County resident received a package from what appeared to be Publishers Clearing House saying she won $250,000. The package included a check in the amount of $4,912.73 and a letter instructing her to deposit the check into her bank account. After making the deposit, the letter instructed the woman to mail a money order to a “claims agent” in order for her to get her winnings. The victim complied and sent two money orders to a man with an address in New York. The total amount the victim sent was $3,707 which included fees for sending money grams. The victim later learned the check was not real. PFC Foster is investigating.
MAN CHARGED WITH DUI AFTER STRIKING POLICE CAR: On March 15 at 10:16 p.m., a Charles County Sheriff’s officer was in his marked patrol car in the area of Amberleaf Place in Waldorf when a vehicle struck the driver’s side of his cruiser. The officer got out to investigate and found the driver of the striking vehicle, Christopher Michael Whitaker, 29, of Cheltenham, to be driving under the influence. Whitaker was arrested and charged with DUI and other traffic-related offenses. Officer P. Alvarez is investigating.
ATTEMPT BURGLARY: On March 15 at 9:08 p.m., officers responded to the 4800 block of Castlewood Court in Waldorf for the report of an intrusion alarm. When officers arrived, they discovered forced entry into the rear basement door. The house was checked and it appeared entry was never made due to the alarm activating. Contact was made with the homeowners who arrived on the scene and advised they left the residence earlier and returned home after being notified by the alarm company. PFC R. Bagley is investigating.
BURGLARY: On March 15 at 9:53 p.m., unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 1000 block of Allwood Drive in Waldorf and stole money and a cell phone. PFC J.L. Clagett is investigating.
AIRSOFT GUN FOUND ON SCHOOL PROPERTY: On March 15 at 12:30 p.m., an anonymous Crime Solvers tip was received by school administrators at Davis Middle School. The tip stated that a 14-year-old student was possibly in possession of a gun. Immediate action was taken and a black replica Airsoft gun that fires plastic pellets was located in the student’s locker. The teen indicated he brought the air gun from home and intended to sell it after school. The student was charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds. PFC R. Anderson is investigating.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery | Residential Burglary – On March 13th at 10:40PM, police responded to the 13600 block of Langtree Ln in Woodbridge (22193) for a domestic. The victim, a 31 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, came to her residence and kicked open the front door. Once inside the residence, the accused chased the victim to a bedroom. A physical altercation ensued and, at one point, the accused began to choke and further assault the victim. The victim was able to contact police and the accused fled on foot. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the accused. The victim, a 12 year old girl of Woodbridge, reported to police that she had just arrived home from school when she encountered the accused. During the encounter, the accused held her hands behind her back and forced her to a bedroom area where he sexually assaulted her. Selling of Firearms to Prohibited Persons – On March 13th, the Prince William County Police Street Crimes Unit, in conjunction with the Virginia State Police and Fairfax County Police, concluded an investigation into a suspect, identified as the accused, who was selling firearms to a convicted felon. Over the course of the investigation, detectives learned that the accused was selling firearms to persons not able to possess them. POSSIBLE ATTEMPT BURGLARY: On March 13 at 12:10 p.m., officers responded to the 3900 block of Northgate Place in Waldorf for the report of a possible burglary. The homeowner arrived home and found her front door had been kicked in. The house was searched and nothing appeared to be missing. POI A. Fenlon is investigating.
TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DUI AND DRUG ARRESTS: On March 12 at 2:35 a.m., PFC K. Syvertsen observed a silver Mercedes driving north in the southbound lanes of Route 210. A traffic stop was initiated near Chapman Landing Road. The driver, Keith Pope, 44, of Washington, D.C., was found to be under the influence of alcohol. In addition, he was in possession of a bag of crack/cocaine. The passenger, Sean Dishman, 45, of Washington, D.C., was in possession of a crack pipe. Both men were arrested and charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pope was also charged with driving under the influence.

Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00PM on March 11th and 11:42AM on March 12th. Entry appeared to have been made through a door to the facility which had been forced open. No property was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On March 12th at 9:20AM, police responded to the 16500 block of Royal Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. Caller reported to police that an unknown man was seen knocking on the front door to his neighbors residence. After knocking, the unknown man walked to the rear of the residence and was seen breaking a window to make entry. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. No property was reported missing.
Commercial Burglary – On March 11th at 2:07PM, police responded to TLK Group LLC located at 1549 Old Bridge Rd, suite 210 in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00AM on March 10th and 9:15AM on March 11th. There were no signs of forced entry into the business. Six computers and six monitors, valued around $2,300, were reported missing. **ARRESTS**
Armed Robbery – On March 13th at 12:10AM, police responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 15900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191). The victim, a 42 woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that an unknown woman knocked on the front door to her residence asking for money and a ride. The victim only agreed to give the woman a ride. As the two were driving in the area above, the unknown woman implied she had a gun and began to rummage through the victim’s purse looking for money. A struggle ensued and the woman struck the victim in the face. At that point, the victim drove to the police station where the woman exited the vehicle and ran off. Around 2:00AM, an officer located a suspicious person, identified as the accused, walking in the area of Graham Park Rd. Officers determined that the accused was responsible for the robbery and was subsequently arrested without further incident. No injuries were reported. Arrested on March 13th:

DOMESTIC-RELATED ASSAULT: On March 9 at 2:53 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 700 block of Hatfield Court in Waldorf for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male, 26, lying in the street with a stab wound to the upper body. They also found another male, age 47, inside the house with injuries to his head. Both males were flown to a hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries. Investigation showed the subjects had been visiting another person at the address when an argument ensued. They began fighting and assaulted each other. Det. G. Higgs is investigating.
MAN CHARGED WITH DRUG POSSESSION: On March 8 at 11:45 p.m., Officer J. Morales initiated a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf after observing a traffic violation. After approaching the car, Officer Morales smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Upon further investigation, marijuana was found inside the vehicle. Marlon Fox, 37, of Temple Hills, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
BURGLARY: Between March 7 – March 8, unknown suspect(s) shattered the front glass to the Kids First Swim School at 3307 Crain Highway in Waldorf and stole a small amount of cash. Cpl. R.C. Leukhardt is investigating.
STOLEN DIRT BIKE RECOVERED: Between March 7 – March 8, unknown suspect(s) stole a dirt bike from an unlocked shed in the 6100 block of Bicknell Road in Indian Head. The bike was discovered the next day lying in the driveway of a nearby house on Piney Hill Place. PFC B. Moore is investigating.
BURGLARY: On March 7 between 7 a.m. – 6:45 p.m., unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 900 block of Stone Avenue in Waldorf and stole electronics, jewelry, clothing and money. PFC S. Chandler is investigating.

Strong Armed Robbery – On March 8th at 7:11PM, police responded to the area of Rosemary Dr and Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) for a robbery. The victim, a 28 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that while walking in the above referenced area, an unknown black male approached her from behind, pushed her, grabbed her purse and fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported. Investigation continues.
Commercial Burglary – On March 9th at 5:42AM, police responded to the Commercial Rigging Company located at 14700 Industry Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:30AM on March 8th and 5:25AM on March 9th. Entry appeared to have been made by removing the deadbolt from the front door. An undisclosed amount of US Currency and t-shirts were reported as missing.
Commercial Burglary – On March 7th at 8:40PM, police responded to the Tacketts Mills Car Wash located at 12831 Harbor Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:15PM and 8:22PM on March 7th. Entry appeared to have been made by breaking the window to a rear door of the business. An undisclosed amount of US Currency was reported a missing.
Residential Burglary–On March 9th at 4:33PM, police responded to the 15900 block of Uppsala Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00AM on March 1st and 10:00AM on March 4th. Entry appeared to have been made through a basement window which was found broken by the homeowner. A television, prescription medication, miscellaneous jewelry and credit cards, valued around $3,000, were reported as missing.
**ARRESTS** Burglary - On March 10th at 1:35AM, police responded to the 14400 block of Village Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. The victim, a 36 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, broke through a rear door, entered her residence where he encountered the victim. The victim alleged that a verbal exchange ensued and the accused departed from the residence when he observed the victim calling police from a cell phone. Abduction / Assault &Battery – On March 9th at 1:53AM, police responded to the 15400block of Binder Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for an assault. The victim, a 44 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she encountered the accused, a known acquaintance, while she was at The Palace, located at 13989 Jefferson Davis Hwy, in Woodbridge (22191). The victim alleged that during the encounter the accused used physical force to remove her from the above referenced business. Once outside the victim reported she was pushed into a vehicle and threatened with a knife while being physically assaulted by the accused. After the assault occurred, the accused allegedly transported the victim, in the same vehicle, to her residence where she was ultimately pushed from the vehicle. SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: On March 6 at 12:45 p.m., officers responded to the 4900 block of Cordova Court in Waldorf after a resident called to report a suspicious subject walking around the back yards of several neighbor’s homes. The subject was peering in windows and checking the locks on the doors. He also looked underneath a doormat at one house, possibly in an effort to locate a key. Officers responded and observed footprints in the snow between several homes but did not find any evidence of a break-in. Officers established a perimeter and at one point spotted the man in the distance. The subject fled and after a search was not located. The suspect is described as a black male, heavy build, mid 30’s, wearing a large black coat with fur trim on the hood, blue cargo-style pants and white tennis shoes. Pfc. R. Bagley is investigating.

BURGLARY: On March 4 between 8:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 6100 block of Tapir Place in Waldorf and stole miscellaneous items including a shoe, a skirt and books. Business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:33PM on March 5th and 5:30AM on March 6th. Entry appeared to have been made through a bay door which had been forced open. Residential Burglary – On March 5th at 4:22PM, police responded to the 2800 block of Gloucester Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:20AM and 3:00PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. Electronics including 2 laptops, 2 cell phones, 2 tablets, a camera, and a gaming console, valued around $2,300, were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On March 5th at 12:06PM, police responded to the 13500 block of Woodvale Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:30AM and 12:06PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. Two TV’s, valued around $2,200, were reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On March 5th at 2:02PM, police responded to the 13100 block of Taverner Lp in Woodbridge (22193) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 12:10PM and 1:20PM, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a front door which had been damaged. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Aggravated Sexual Battery – On March 5th, detectives from the Special Victim’s Bureau responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 7600 block of Amherst Dr in Manassas (20111) between February and March of this year. The investigation revealed that the accused had sexually assaulted the victims, an 8 year old girl and a 3 year girl, while he resided at their address in the above area. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. Arrested on March 5th:

Attempted Armed Robbery | Drug Related – On March 6th at 9:21PM, police responded to the 14200 block of Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22193) for an attempted robbery. The victim reported to police that he was sitting in his vehicle in the above area when he was approached by four unknown men. One of the suspects opened the driver’s side door, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The other two men got into the vehicle. One suspect got in the passenger seat while the other, also armed with a handgun, got into a rear seat. The suspect in the rear seat struck the victim to his head with the handgun causing the weapon to discharge into the dashboard. Following the round being fired, three of the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, while the remaining suspect fled on foot. The victim reported minor injuries. Officers located the suspect vehicle in the area of Essex Dr and Cumberland Dr resulting in the three suspects being arrested. During the investigation, detectives from the Robbery Unit determined that the victim, MORRIS, had arranged to sell the suspects ecstasy pills. Once the suspects arrived to meet the victim, they attempted to rob the victim. The suspect, CRISTLER, was determined to be the armed suspect at the driver’s side of the vehicle while JOHNSON got into the passenger seat. The unknown suspect was reportedly the one that got into the rear seat and struck MORRIS with the handgun. The suspect, MOORE, was also present during the incident. The handgun CRISTLER used in the robbery was also determined to have been stolen from a residence in August of 2011. Following the investigation, the suspects were arrest, in addition to, the victim who was found to be in possession of ecstasy.

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On March 4th at 12:54PM, police responded to the Shoppers Food Warehouse located at 14000 Shoppers Best Way in Woodbridge (22192) for a shoplifter. Employees of the store detained an unknown man, later identified as the accused, after he had reportedly took items without paying for them. Prior to officer’s arrival, the accused attempted to flee, and at one point, displayed a knife and threatened one of the employees. The employees were able to disarm the accused. Felony Hit & Run | Grand Larceny Auto – On March 6th at 5:25PM, police responded to the 1600 block of Ladue Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a domestic related fight. The victim, a 15 year old male of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a family member, were involved in a verbal altercation inside their apartment in the above area. The argument escalated into a physical fight which moved into the main lobby of the apartment building causing about $350 in damages. Following the fight, the accused exited the lobby and got into a vehicle which was left in the parking lot unattended and running. The vehicle belonged to a pizza delivery driver who was making a delivery at the complex. Once in the vehicle, the accused drove onto Farm Creek Dr where he struck the rear of a parked, unoccupied tractor trailer. After the collision, the accused fled on foot, returning to his residence where officers located him. The accused was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The victim sustained minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. Arrested on March 6th:

Narcotics Investigation – On March 5th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation in the distribution of marijuana with the execution of a search warrant at 1726 Grover Glen Ct in Woodbridge (22192). As a result of the search, marijuana, an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, and other items were recovered. The following arrest was also made without incident. Arrested on March 5th:

SUMMARY:
On Tuesday March 5th, 2013 at approximately 0719 hours, Troopers from the Maryland State Police La Plata Barrack responded to the area of Northbound Leonardtown Road and Prince Frederick Road for a reported overturned tractor trailer.
Troopers arrived on scene at approximately 0722 hours and located a 2010 Volvo truck tractor bearing North Carolina Registration hauling a 53 foot refrigerator trailer that was overturned and blocking the ramp from the east bound traffic circle ramp to Prince Frederick Road.
The investigation revealed the truck tractor and trailer combination was traveling southbound Leonardtown Road, exiting the highway onto the traffic round-about ramp, the vehicle negotiated the first round-about continuing under the overpass to the second traffic round-about for eastbound Prince Frederick Road. As the operator negotiated the second round-about he was traveling to fast for conditions and the vehicle overturned onto its right side. The vehicle came to rest on the raised curb median separating the traffic round-about from the bypass ramp. The combination blocked the ramp from the traffic round-about onto Prince Frederick Road. Once overturned the truck tractor began leaking diesel fuel onto the highway. The on duty Hazmat squad responded to the scene and was able to mitigate the leakage without any further damage. The roadway was closed until 1047 hours.
Armed Robbery – On March 4th at 10:47PM, police responded to the area of Blooms Quarry Ln and Granite Ln in Manassas (20111) for a robbery. The victim, a 35 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she was walking home when she was approached by an unknown man. The man assaulted the victim and implied he had a weapon before taking her purse and fleeing the area. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was utilized in the search. No suspect was located. Residential Burglary | Grand Larceny Auto – On March 3rd at 10:56AM, a Prince William County Police motor officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the 4500 block of Forestburg Ln in Triangle (22172) for a traffic infraction. The vehicle did not stop and drove to a nearby residence where he then fled on foot. The suspect was not located. Officers went to the vehicle owner’s address in the 3300 block of Vineyard Pl in Dumfries (22026) where it was determined that a burglary had taken place and vehicle stolen. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM and 10:50AM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. The vehicle was the only property reported missing.

Indecent Exposure – On March 3rd at 8:25PM, police responded to the area of Greenwood Dr and Gustus Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for a suspicious person. Caller reported to police that an unknown man was walking down the street in the nude. Officers arrived in the area and located the man, identified as the accused. The accused was transported to an area hospital for evaluation. Following the evaluation, the accused was subsequently arrested. Arrested on March 3rd:

1300 block Willow Ln, 3/04 3:00 p.m. A 17-year-old male reported that he was robbed and
assaulted by another juvenile inside the victim’s apartment. The victim required transport to the
hospital for treatment of a head injury he received during the incident. The 15-year-old offender
was later taken into custody near his home in Spotsylvania. The offender was served with
juvenile petitions charging him with robbery and felonious assault, and he was placed in the
Rappahannock Juvenile Detention Center. The victim was served with a juvenile petition
charging him with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and he was also placed in
the Juvenile Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY:
Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 3/04 5:00 p.m. A patron reported that her purse was stolen
from her shopping cart. The theft was caught on store surveillance and the suspect (below
photo) was a white male in his late 20s to mid 30s wearing a black Harley Davidson jacket and a
white hat turned backwards. The suspect left the store in a white 4-door vehicle. The
investigation is ongoing.
Peace Pipe Ln, 3/1 – 3/3 11:30 a.m. A resident reported that her identification and a quantity of
prescription medications were stolen from her home. The investigation is ongoing.
Fukien Gourmet, 435 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 3/04 8:00 p.m. An employee reported that a
quantity of cash was stolen from the register while she was assisting three male subjects with an order of food and left the register briefly unattended. The suspects were described as three black males, one of whom was wearing a blue workshirt from McDonalds and had braided hair pulled into a ponytail. The three suspects left the scene in a dark colored 2-door vehicle. The
investigation is ongoing.
500 block Sophia St, 3/04 – 3/5 12:30 a.m. A resident reported that a quantity of cash and a
video game system were stolen from her home. A suspect has been identified and the
investigation is ongoing.

with possession of marijuana.
Garland Neas, 54, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery and two
counts of assault on a law enforcement officer.

Armed Robbery *ARREST – On March 2nd, an arrest was made in the armed robbery which was reported to have occurred at the Game Stop located at 7336 Atlas Walk Way in Gainesville on February 24th. A tip received by detectives of the Robbery Unit led to the identity of the suspect. The accused turned himself into police without incident. Arrested on March 2nd:

Armed Robbery (Previously Released) – On February 24th at 5:55PM, police responded to the Game Stop located at 7336 Atlas Walk Way in Gainesville (20155) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that just prior to closing, an unknown man entered the business and walked into a rear storage area holding a knife. The man took 2 gaming consoles, valued around $600, and fled the store. The suspect was last seen getting into the passenger seat of an awaiting vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Burglary to a Community Center *ARREST – On March 1st, law enforcement officials in North Carolina located and arrested the suspect involved in the burglary which was reported to have occurred at the Islamic Community Center of Northern Virginia (ICCNOV) located at 14505 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge on February 14th. Burglary to a Community Center (Previously Released) – On February 14th at 10:30AM, police responded to the Islamic Community Center of Northern Virginia (ICCNOV) located at 14505 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. The caller reported to police that he was working in an office located inside the Mosque when an unknown man forced a lock door open and entered. The caller confronted the man who immediately fled in a vehicle. No property was reported missing. On February 15th, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit identified the suspect involved in the burglary. Following the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant against the accused.

Armed Robbery – On March 1st at 11:58AM, police responded to the Maplewood Barber Shop located at 8350 Shoppers Sq in Manassas (20111) for an initial report of two suspicious persons in the area. Employees of an adjacent business reported to dispatch that two unknown, masked men were acting suspicious outside of the target business. The men then reportedly entered the business and fled on foot a short time later. Officers arrived at the target business and determined that an attempted robbery actually took place. Employees of the target business reported that the same two men entered the business where one of the men displayed a handgun and demanded money. The men got impatient waiting for the money and took one of the employee’s cell phones before fleeing the area. No injuries were reported. Lookout:

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On March 3rd at 11:21AM, police responded to the 13700 block of Keelingwood Cir in Woodbridge (22191) for a destruction of property call. Homeowner reported to police that she had found a bullet in the kitchen area of her apartment. Officers responded and observed additional bullet holes in a neighbor’s front door. Officers performed a welfare check at the residence and no one was found inside. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 3:00AM and 3:30AM that morning. No injuries were reported.
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On March 3rd at 5:39AM, police responded to the 15000 block of Catalpa Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a shots fired call. Several callers reported to police that several gunshots were heard coming from the above area. Officers arrived in the area and located a residence having a large gathering. Casings were found in front of the same residence. No shooter was located and no injuries were reported.
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On March 3rd at 1:50AM, police responded to the Columbus Grill located at 8349 Centreville Rd in Manassas (20111) for a shots fired call. Caller reported to police that a large crowd in the business parking lot was becoming unruly and that an unknown man had fired several shots into the air. Officers arrived and assisted security with clearing the parking lot. Casings were found in the parking lot. No shooter was located and no injuries were reported.
Strong Armed Robbery – On March 1st at 12:50PM, police responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred near the SunTrust Bank located at 12417 Dillingham Sq in Woodbridge (22193) between 4:53AM and 5:53AM that morning. The victim, a 65 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he withdrew an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the ATM when he was approached by an unknown man. The man demanded the victim’s money but did not imply or display a weapon. The suspect fled on foot. No injuries were reported.
Commercial Burglary – On March 2nd at 7:47AM, police responded to the Tackett’s Mill Car Wash located at 12831 Harbor Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime after 12:00AM. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear glass window which had been broken out. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
Commercial Burglary – On March 2nd at 6:57AM, police responded to Stan Rollinson’s Automotive located at 14852 Farm Creek Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:30PM on March 1st and 6:45AM on March 2nd. Entry appeared to have been made through a front glass door which had been broken out. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and other items were reported missing.
**INCIDENTS**
Residential Burglary – On March 2nd at 3:58AM, police responded to the 14800 block of Ashdale Ave in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that he was in a separate room of the residence when he heard a noise coming from his front door. No one was seen in the residence but the homeowner did report hearing footsteps. Entry appeared to have been made through an unsecured door. No property was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On March 1st at 2:42PM, police responded to the 15100 block of Jennerette Ln in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary to a residence under construction. Construction crews reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:00PM on February 25th and 12:00PM on February 27th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. Appliances, valued around $3,500, were reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On March 2nd at 9:12PM, a Prince William County Police officer was patrolling in the area of the Tacketts Mill Shopping Center located at 2219 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22193) when he encountered the accused. The officer determined that the accused was wanted and attempted to arrest him. At that point, the accused pushed one of the officers and fled on foot. Following a short foot pursuit, the accused was apprehended without further incident. No injuries were reported. Arrested on March 2nd:

Theft
On 3/2/13, Deputy M. Davies responded to Wal-Mart for a larceny in progress. Brian Shaw 55 of Spotsylvania was arrested for felony larceny 13th offense and turned over to the jail on a no bond status.
On 2/28/13, Andrew Charles Chambers was apprehended in Iredell County, North Carolina on arrest warrants out of Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office for larceny and fraud.
On 02/28/13, Deputy Buccola released Latisha Diane Taylor, 25 from Spotsylvania on a summons for Shoplifting at Wal-Mart.
Assault
On 3/3/13, Deputy Fuller arrested Kimberly Sitko, 31 of Spotsylvania for domestic assault and battery.
On 3/3/13, Sr. Deputy Wahl responded to Cherry Rd for a reported assault past on 3/2/2013. Sr. Deputy Wahl obtained warrants against Gary Randall 41of Caroline for aggravated malicious wounding (class 2 felony) and assault and battery. Sr. Deputy Wahl also obtained a warrant against Tammy Randall 35 of Caroline for assault and battery. Both Tammy and Gary were located on 3/3/2013 by Sr. Deputy Wahl and arrested.
On 02/28/13, Deputy Jurgens arrested 55 year-old Darlene Gayle Baker for assault on law enforcement, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, and obstruction of a legal process at the River Heights Trailer Park. Zane Amanzo Thomas Burditt, 28, was arrested for driving revoked and obstruction of a legal process at the same residence.
On 02/28/13, Sgt. Hammond arrested Randy Marshall Jones, 37 from Spotsylvania in the 7000 Block of Marshall Park Lane for Resisting Arrest, Assault on LE, and Drunk in Public.
DUI
On 3/3/13, Deputy Basil arrested Allison Cadger, 25 of Spotsylvania for DUI after a locating her vehicle in a ditch in the area of 6500 blk of Morris Road.
On 3/3/13, Deputy Basil arrested Jacob Doughty, 28 of Spotsylvania for DUI after a traffic stop at Mills Drive and Massaponax Church Road for failing to stop at a stop sign.
On 02/28/13, Deputy Noakes arrested Kelly Ferguson, 36 of Prince William County for DUI.
Narcotics
On 3/3/13, Deputy Jones released Courtney Allen, 18 of Spotsylvania on a summons for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at Green Arbor Drive and Timberland Drive, for failing to stop at a stop sign.
On 3/3/13, Deputy Tillman arrested Christopher Taylor of Falls Church for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute after a traffic stop at the 7-11 Thornburg for failing to stop at a stop sign.
On 3/3/13, Deputy Kelley released Enrico Hernandez, 40 of Alexandria, on summonses for possession of marijuana and driving revoked after a traffic stop on Lee Hill School Drive at Old Dominion Parkway.
On 3/2/13, Deputy B. Baugh responded to Dominion Dr. on an assist Fire/Rescue call. Eric Southern was arrested for possession of scheduled I/II (Heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On 02/28/13, Deputy Perkins arrested William Clifford Ryckman, 31 of Spotsylvania for Felony Possession of Sch I/ Sch II narcotics.
On 03/01/13, Deputy Greene released Emily Furrow, 23 of Spotsylvania on a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at Fire Company 6.

On 3/2/13, Sr. Deputy R. Wahl conducted a traffic stop at Lansdown Rd and Latimers Knoll Ct. Pedro Pablo was released on a summons for possession of fraudulent documents, driving without a license, and obstructed license plate.

Burglary While Armed *ADDITIONAL ARREST – On February 23rd, detectives from the Robbery Unit made an additional arrest into the burglary which was reported in the 7500 block of Margate Ct in Manassas on February 20th. The investigation revealed that the accused, EDDINS, was the driver of the suspect vehicle when officers apprehended the suspects during a traffic stop in the area of Dumfries Rd and Purcell Rd following the incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes. Arrested on February 23rd:

Burglary While Armed (Previously Released) – On February 20th at 10:39PM, police responded to the 7500 block of Margate Ct in Manassas (20109) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that a group of 7 or 8 masked suspects forcibly entered the residence and stole several items including several laptops, 2 gaming consoles, an iPad, and multiple pairs of shoes. One of the men was reportedly armed with a handgun. Three of the men fled the residence and got into a vehicle while the remaining suspects fled on foot. A description of the vehicle was provided to responding officers. Officers located the vehicle traveling in the area of Dumfries Rd and Purcell Rd and conducted a traffic stop. The three occupants were subsequently detained and arrested. Detectives from the Robbery Unit are still working to identify the other suspects involved. This incident does not appear to be random.

?Attempted Malicious Wounding |Domestic Related – On February 27th at 8:32PM, police responded to the 7800 block of Gregory Ct in Manassas (20109) for a domestic. The victim, a 25 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a known family member, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly retrieved a machete and swung it towards the victim multiple times. The victim was able to avoid being struck and called police. The accused fled the area prior to police arrival. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was utilized in the search for the accused. Strong Armed Robbery | Drug Related – On February 27th at 10:53AM, police responded to the 8100 block of Portwood Tn in Manassas (20109) for a robbery. The victim, a 20 year old man of Centreville, reported to police that he was in the area above when two unknown men approached him. One of the men displayed a knife and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before fleeing the area. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was utilized in the search for the suspects. While speaking with the victim, officers discovered marijuana. Further investigation revealed that the victim came to the area above for a drug transaction which led to the robbery. Marijuana, packaging material, and other evidence were found on the victim, now the accused. Following the investigation the accused was arrested. Lookout:

Residential Burglary – On February 27th at 12:17PM, police responded to the 12000 block of Skipjack Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00PM on February 26th and 9:00AM on February 27th. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear basement window which had been broken out. Jewelry, an iPad, gaming console, and other property, valued around $5,400, were reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 27th at 6:46PM, police responded to the 3400 block of Trendil Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that he heard a noise coming from outside. Upon checking out the noise, the homeowner discovered an unknown man in the backyard. Once discovered, the man fled the area. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing. No description of the suspect was provided to police.

Threats to Kill | Threats to Burn – On February 23rd, detectives from the Intelligence Unit began an investigation into threats made via text message to a victim residing in the 15100 Georgia Rd in Woodbridge (22191) The victim, a 49 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she received multiple text messages between February 22nd and February 26th from the accused, a known acquaintance, threatening to harm her and burn her house down. No actions were taken by the accused. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. Arrested on February 28th:

?Threats to Bomb – On January 5th at 11:05AM, police responded to Triangle Fried Chicken located at 18069 Triangle Shopping Plz in Dumfries (22026) for a bomb threat. Employees reported to police that an unknown male had called the establishment and reported a bomb was in the building. The building was evacuated and a Virginia State Police bomb dog was called to conduct a search which resulted in no explosive device being found. Detectives from the Intelligence Unit were able to develop a suspect. Following the investigation, petitions were obtained against the accused, a juvenile. Charged on February 27th: (Juvenile)

Unlawful Entry – On February 27th at 9:23PM, police responded to the 12900 block of Luca Station Way in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that he was asleep when he heard his dogs barking. Upon checking the front door, he observed an unknown man standing on his porch. When the homeowner opened the door, the man pushed his way inside. The homeowner was able to get the man outside and call police. Officers arrived and identified the man as the accused. The accused was intoxicated and was subsequently arrested. Arrested on February 27th:

Narcotics Investigation – On February 27th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation into the possession of marijuana with the execution of a search warrant at 4400 Worchester Dr #11 in Woodbridge (22193). As a result of the search, marijuana, paraphernalia, packing material, and other items were recovered. The following arrest was also made without incident. Arrested on February 27th:
