ATTEMPTED MURDER/DOMESTIC ASSAULT:
Keavy Ct, 10/22 10:40 p.m. A 25-year-old female reported that during an argument with her
boyfriend in their shared apartment, the boyfriend grabbed a large knife and held her by the hair
while threatening to stab her in the face and head. The boyfriend also broke the victim’s cell
phone. Two friends of the victim were present during the assault and one of them called police
as the boyfriend fled from the scene. Following the initial investigation, a warrant was obtained
for Jose del Cid-Hernandez, 31, charging him with first degree attempted homicide. Deputies
with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Department arrested the offender this morning at his place of
employment and del Cid-Hernandez was turned over to the custody of Fredericksburg detectives.
The investigation is ongoing.
Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 10/22 9:55 p.m. A city resident reported that she was
walking through the parking lot when a vehicle pulled up beside her. The driver asked her for
directions and exposed himself. When the victim walked away, the suspect followed her in his
car until the victim reached the entrance to the store. The suspect then left the area headed
toward Fall Hill Avenue. The suspect was described as a white male in his early 20s with a short
buzz haircut. The vehicle was a gold four-door sedan, possibly a Mitsubishi. The investigation
Mayfield Park, 300 Tyler St, 10/19 – 10/22 7:30 a.m. An employee reported that three outlet
covers were broken off. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Glynnis Sedgwick, 38, of Stafford was arrested for DUI in the 300 block of Frederick Street.
Constantine Costianis, 33, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Home Depot.
Jeremy Blackstone, 47, of no fixed address was arrested for trespassing at Old Mill Park.
James King, 70, of Fredericksburg was arrested for felony domestic assault.
