A Winter Storm Warning and Wind Chill Warning remain in effect for the Fredericksburg region as a major winter storm and very cold air push into the area.

Light snow is expected to start over the Fredericksburg region by late morning, becoming heaviest during the afternoon and continuing through this evening.
By late tonight, the National Weather Service says to expect 4 to 8 inches of accumulation.
Temperatures will fall into the 20s and through the teens by late today, and single-digit lows – with wind chills of 5 to 15 below – are expected overnight.
Winds of 5 to 10 mph early today will increase to 10 to 20 mph this afternoon, with gusts of 30 mph. Tonight, northwesterly winds may gust up to 40 mph.
