Campbell’s Dropping Soup?

It’s the end of an era, at least in name. Campbell Soup has announced plans to drop the “Soup” and rebrand as “The Campbell’s Company.” According to CEO Mark Clouse, “Today we’re so much more than soup.” And he’s right—Campbell’s has grown into a multi-brand powerhouse with products like Pepperidge Farm breads, crackers, and cookies, Pace salsa, Prego and Rao’s sauces, Snyder’s pretzels, and Kettle potato chips.

The goal is to reflect the company’s expanding portfolio, using the Campbell’s name across its wide range of products. One brand they’re banking on for future growth? Goldfish crackers, which they expect to become their largest brand by 2027.

But soup fans, don’t worry—Campbell’s isn’t stepping away from their classic offerings. Soup remains a core part of their business.

The name change isn’t official just yet. As a publicly traded company, Campbell Soup will need shareholder approval to make the rebrand a reality.
