January 7, via social media, Rascall Flatts announced plans of a farewell tour to their fans. The Tour, Rascal Flatts’ Farewell: Life Is a Highway Tour, will last five months beginning June 11 in Indianapolis. The tour will end October 17 at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Fla.
The band will make a local appearance at Jiffy Lube Live, Bristow, VA, September 12. Chris Lane and Matt Stell will serve as support act for the September 12 date. Additional support during the tour will include Chase Rice, King Calaway, Rachel Wammack, Avenue Beat, and Caylee Hammack.
The band composed of Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney and Jay De Marcus has been together for 20 years, touring the majority of those years. They stated they want to celebrate their fans in a series of live shows and have no future plans in the works after that. However, the band does plan to release new music in 2020. Additionally, LeVox has stated the band has surprises planned throughout the year.
In a statement on social media, the band said, “When we started out 20 years ago, we could not imagine all of the people, places and gifts we would encounter. As we head out on the Rascal Flatts Farewell – Life is A Highway Tour, there is no sadness. Just new chapters, new journeys, and new beginnings. This year, and this tour, is all about YOU.”
