Stafford Regional Choral Society will present “Sing, Sing, Sing!” a tribute to the music of the 1940s on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fredericksburg (25 Chalice Circle). Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and are available at the door.
Set as a World War II radio broadcast, the program features beloved songs of the era by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Louis Prima, George Gershwin, and many more. Audiences will delight in the music and mayhem of the radio studio as the chorus sings crowd favorites and welcomes guest artists, soloists, and small ensembles.
Proceeds from ticket sales support the SRCS Scholarship Program, which awards outstanding, local high school pianists, instrumentalists, and vocalists who plan to continue music performance in college.
The Stafford Regional Choral Society is a 501(c)(3) organization, under the direction of Jason J. Michael with Kathryn Hichborn at the piano. Founded in 2001, the chorus of singers from Stafford and the surrounding area promotes choral music and performing arts education through its annual three-concert season.
