Have You Been Rucking?

If you find walking or running a bit dull, there’s a new workout trend that might make things… well, even more challenging. It’s called “rucking” – essentially walking while carrying a heavy backpack, also known as a “rucksack.”

Inspired by military training, rucking involves walking or running with extra weight, similar to how soldiers carry their gear. And the best part? You don’t need any fancy equipment to get started. Just grab a backpack from home, fill it with something heavy like books, or start small with just a water bottle.

The added weight will get your heart rate up quicker than a regular stroll and even incorporates some strength training as you move. It’s gaining traction on social media because it’s simple, effective, and anyone can do it with what they already have.
