Have you tried Maggie’s Subs?!?!

Have you ever walked past a restaurant a hundred times over telling yourself, “I should stop in there someday” but then you just keep walking on completely forgetting the thought as soon as you leave? Well this happens to me ALL. THE. TIME.

So I decided to do something about it this time.

Recently, I was strolling through downtown FXBG trying to find something different for lunch when I came across “Maggie’s”. Let me be clear, I have walked past “Maggie’s” hundreds of time thinking I need to try it sometime but never actually stopped until now. So I decided to give it a shot.

I want to make it clear, I am NOT  a food expert- I just like sharing my opinion especially when I find local restaurants that I am a huge fan of (and no this is not a paid advertising article, just a girl with an opinion). So stick with me here.

Not only are their subs delicious, you can get them cold or hot, but they are cheap especially as a meal with chips and a drink. “Maggie’s” they has creative creations and LOCAL creations including their own homemade draft soda!

I got the Italian Panini, which was cooked to perfection and customized to my liking. However, I had such a hard time choosing between the Italian, the “Nat” which is a “Jumbo, all beef Nathan’s hot dog stuffed into a split-top lobster roll with your choice of ketchup, mustard, relish, and onion” and the “Shrimp Salad Sandwich” which is a “Mayo based shrimp salad with chopped celery and Old Bay  stuffed into a split top lobster roll.” It was a dilemma!

There were so many types/brands of chips there I had never even heard of but intrigued me, every type of sandwich, soup and even ice cream you could want! The other thing that I love about “Maggie’s” is that they are  family owned and veteran owned and operated.

So next time you pass by 820 Caroline Street, take a second and stop in, check out “Maggie’s” full menu and try a taste of some of the best subs in Fredericksburg- I promise you won’t be disappointed.
