Monday…Slowly Killing Me!
September 16, 2024 5:12PM EDT
We all know Mondays can feel rough, but there’s an interesting conversation happening online about things that are slowly killing us—but we still can’t quit. And no, it’s not just the usual suspects like tobacco, alcohol, or other vices. People are sharing some surprising things they love, even if they know it’s doing a little damage.
Here are some things folks admit are slowly wearing them down, but they just can’t seem to stop:
- Binge eating.
- Procrastination.
- Not getting enough sleep.
- Fast food.
- Skipping exercise.
- Sitting too much.
- Energy drinks.
- Social media addiction.
- Sugar . . . especially Ben & Jerry’s.
- Living on ramen noodles.
- Bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers.
- Parenting (yes, really).
- Welding. One person said, “It’s literally killing me—eyesight’s worse, and I cough up soot and rust every night.” Someone replied, “You know you’re supposed to wear a welding mask, right?”
- Processed meats.
- And finally . . . dating men. (We won’t even try to unpack that one.)
