SVFD- Santa Run #7- Wednesday 12/11

Here is an updated list of the Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Department 2024 Santa Runs.

I enjoy this every Christmas season. It’s for the young and young at heart. This year, there are 13 different Santa Runs. So, if you don’t see your neighborhood on the list, find a location nearest you that you can go to.

From SVFD– While there are so many good things with the Santa Runs, Santa needs to address some details first.

Good news is that the schedule has not changed much from last year. No major changes.

Things to keep in mind this season:

1) There are THIRTEEN opportunities to find Santa and see him this year. That is 13 times SVFD members are sacrificing another night away from their families to bring happiness to the citizens of Spotsylvania County. Please be respectful.

2) If your street is not listed on the route, Santa will not be coming down it. Please make your way to the closest intersection/street near you.

3) Santa will be avoiding most cul-de-sacs and dead-end streets. This is for timesaving and safety. Please make your way to the closest intersection/street near you.

4) Santa wishes that every child could see him come by their front door, but his group of elves just can’t make that possible. You may have to drive/walk to see him.

5) Please do not send Santa’s helpers nasty messages about why he isn’t coming to your neighborhood/street. If Santa did last year and isn’t this year, Santa promises there is a reason. Please make your way to the closest intersection/subdivision near you.

6) If Santa is scheduled to come to your street and Santa’s Helpers miss it, please send SVFD a kind message and we will try to fix it. Please note “TRY”, with no guarantee. You may find there was a safety or time reason we could not complete our night.

7) Please keep your children far from the firetruck and vehicles surrounding it. We want everyone to be safe.

8 )We understand that it can be confusing to citizens of Spotsylvania County to understand that our Volunteer Fire Department does not support areas on/around Rt. 3 in what is considered in the “Chancellor” area. We have, however, made accommodations to add a high school and shopping center in Chancellor to our routes to try to help that side of the county have this experience.

9) If your street/subdivision is not listed, we will not be visiting it this year.

Repeat – Please come see us at one of the 13 locations. There are plenty of opportunities for this magical experience.

Make a plan of action to ensure your child sees Santa. Again, this could mean having to walk to an intersection near you OR even getting in your car and driving somewhere to see him.

Santa Run- #7- DRIVE THRU- Livingston Elementary then DRIVE THRU- Spotsylvania High School Wed, Dec 11 at 6 PM/ 7:30pm

*This will be a drive-thru event. SVFD will be stationary at Livingston Elementary from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Please remain in your vehicle. SVFD will leave here and go to Spotsy high from 7:30 – 8:15 pm
