Taco Bell’s Retirement Home?

Taco Bell is really launching a retirement community-themed event for young people near San Diego next month. Called “The Cantinas”?!?

Wait… that can’t be right. Well, it is BUT it will only be open for one weekend, on August 17th and 18th.

This gimmick aims to attract more Gen Z customers by embracing the “grandmacore” trend, where young people find old-fashioned activities and aesthetics appealing.

Day passes cost $50, while a $150 package includes two nights of lodging, an “elevated” Taco Bell dining experience, and access to various activities typically associated with older generations.

Activities will include pickleball tournaments, painting classes, knitting circles, bocce, croquet, golf, and a range of old-school games, likely including board games.

To attend, you must be a Taco Bell rewards member, which is easy to join. The bigger challenge will be securing a spot, as reservations open next Tuesday at http://thecantinas.net and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
