July 4 Weekend Firework Display Guide

Fri., July 1
Playin’ in the Park Independence Celebration
@Booster Park (Orange County)
Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy live music by Grassland Bluegrass Band, a Touch-A-Truck, and food vendors during this family friendly event. Fireworks will take place at dark. You are welcome and encouraged to bring picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs. Alcohol is prohibited. Pets must be on-leash at all times. Parking is limited, please arrive early.  Food trucks will be on-site!

Spotsylvania Stars and Stripes Spectacular
@Spotsylvania Courthouse
The Stars and Stripes spectacular will consist of musical entertainment, children’s activities, historical site tours, and will culminate with a fireworks display.  (Rain Date: July 3, 2022)

Sat., July 2
Celebrate Independence Day
@Lake Fairfax Park
Lake Fairfax Park will be holding a fireworks show on July 2, 2022. Ticketed entry begins at 10:00 a.m. The fireworks are expected to start shortly after 9:00 pm. Be sure to arrive early so you can park and find a spot to view the show from. We encourage all visitors to arrive no later than 8:00 p.m. Food trucks will be onsite throughout the day and all picnic areas will be offered on a first-come-first served basis.

Sun., July 3
Colonial Beach Independence Day Fireworks
@Colonial Beach Boardwalk
Prime viewing areas for the show include the main beachfront and Boardwalk areas, the outdoor deck at the Riverboat and High Tides restaurants, the Black Pearl Tiki Bar and along the RiverWalk and north Irving Ave.  The best place by far is to watch them from a boat out on the Potomac River. You’ll see boats start to anchor out just offshore in time for the big event.

Mon., July 4
Culpeper’s 4th of July Celebration
@Yowell Meadow Park & Rockwater Park
Grab a chair or blanket and come out and enjoy live music, vendors at Yowell Meadow Park this 4th of July as part of the Town of Culpeper’s Independence Day festivities. Fireworks will be held at Rockwaterpark.

Mon., July 4
Celebrate America
@Historic Downtown Manassas
The celebration surrounds the Historic Downtown train depot, the Harris Pavilion and the Manassas Museum. There will be great rides for the kids starting at 3 p.m, The rest of the fun,  face painter, caricature artist, food concessions and novelty vendors will begin at 4 p.m.  Come participate in the Watermelon Eating contest, Bike decorating contest and Pie baking contest.  Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets and come early to get the best seats on the Manassas Museum Lawn for the firework display at 9:15 p.m.!

Independence Day Celebration
@Marine Corp Base Quantico
It will be BIGGER and better than ever!  Come early to enjoy all the fun activities before the fireworks show.  Kids AND adults can enjoy the variety of amusement activities available including a rock wall, turbo tubs and a NEW 160’ obstacle course.  There will also be many yard games and contests for the whole family!  You can leave the food at home because there will be TONS of food trucks available, and an adult beverage tent!  There will be a special performance by the Silent Drill Platoon, and music performances by the Quantico Marine Corps Band.  DJ Q Clay will keep us entertained with great music throughout the evening!

Mon., July 4
4th of July Spectacular
@John Lee Pratt Park
Stafford’s 4th of July Spectacular will kick off at 6pm at John Lee Pratt Park.  The evening will include live music, Surprise Grab Bags for family fun, yard games, food trucks, a DJ and Fireworks.  The Fredericksburg Concert Band will perform at Celebration Stage from 6:30pm-8pm.  The firework display will begin at dusk.  Admission is FREE and open to ALL.  Please note: parking is free and available onsite however it is limited, typically parking spaces fill up quickly and park will have to close the gate prior to dusk.  Please plan to carpool if possible!  Leashed well-behaved dogs are welcome!

4th of July in Washington DC
@National Mall
The National Park Service and partners host a spectacular Independence Day fireworks show in the heart of the nation’s capital.  View a colorful 35-minute fireworks display with DC’s iconic monuments and memorials as a stage.  Fireworks are scheduled to illuminate the sky from 9:07 pm to 9:42 pm., weather-permitting. The fireworks will be cancelled in case of heavy rain, thunderstorms or high winds.
